For all venue hire bookings please note:

No charge for children under 5 years old.

All pricing exclusive of GST.

There may be instances where Tangihanga (funerals) take precedence on the marae. This may result in cancellation of all venue bookings scheduled at this time, at short notice. In these instances a refund of booking fee or rescheduling of booking will be offered.

Community hire

For community groups and local kura & kohanga (schools).

1) Booking fee: $250

2) Daily hireage fee:

  • Half day hire $1,000 (8.00am to 5.00pm)
    Up to four hours

  • Full day hire $1,500 (8.00am to 11.00pm)


3) Plus a koha (donation) on completion of use

Taumata o Kupe
Learning Centre

A deposit of 50% of total Hireage cost is required within 4 weeks of making your booking i.e (if placing a booking in the beginning of October, payment should be made no later than the 1st week of November). Balance to be paid 2 weeks prior to the event.

Kapene Alan King Studio

A deposit of 100% of total Hireage cost is required within 4 weeks of making your booking.

1) Deposit: 50% of total hireage cost

2) Daily hireage fee:

  • Half day hire $2,000 (8.00am to 5.00pm)
    Up to four hours

  • Full day hire $2,500 (8.00am to 11.00pm)

3) Plus a koha (donation) on completion of use

  • Half day hire $400 (8.00am to 5.00pm)
    Up to four hours

For unique instances where you require multiple venues or appreciate the privacy of having the full site to yourselves. e.g. Public and community events, retreats, larger-than-life social gatherings.

Overnight stays

These are additional costs added to any “Full Day & Night” Venue hire or package booking. Customers cannot book one venue and sleep in a different one unless they have paid a package deal for both.

Catering

We offer a range of delicious & unique kai options. From full feasts and buffets, traditional Māori hāngī, discerning set menus and fresh grazing platters. Please see the Manager for all catering needs, dietary requirements  and costs.

Private hire

For Corporate, Government or Personal bookings.
